National trust slate roof repairs

The National Trust of Australia (Victoria) recently engaged Apex Roofing and Property Services Pty Ltd to work on the slate roof at Mulberry Hill in Langwarrin South. This property is not only one of the National Trust of Australia (Victoria)’s premier sites, but is also Heritage Victoria registered. John Hedley (owner) and Tim King provided exceptional workmanship, communication and management throughout the job. The work included:

  • Relaying, nailing and adhering original and replacement Welsh and Spanish slates
  • Review, repair and reporting of the slate roofing and flashing around a chimney
  • Cleaning of full gutter in area to assist with roof maintenance and longevity
  • Full report of work completed, state of the rest of the roof and recommendations for future improvement
